Chris
Cook
has been employed as the Executive Director of East
Novability Society for Persons With Disabilites since
April 2007.
Chris is responsible for the overall direction and
effective administration of activities, programs and
strategic initiatives set out by the board of directors
of East Novability. He
ensures that all initiatives meet budget requirements.
Chris also oversees the development and provision of
programs and services offered by
East Novability.
Chris completed a B.A. from St. F.X. 1998 and a B.S.W.
from the University of Manitoba
in 2000.
Chris has over 8 years experience working with
disadvantaged people and their family’s in the Strait of Canso area.
He is actively involved in his community of
Mulgrave; having received a certificate of appreciation
during Provincial Volunteer Week in 2008.
Chris considers himself to be very fortunate to have the
opportunity to work with the board members of
East Novability, his staff, and the staff at
Service Canada Port Hawkesbury and Antigonish, and
especially the clientele.
One of Chris’ goals is to ensure that the service is
continually brought to the people of the four rural
counties within East Novability’s jurisdiction; to
continue to assist persons with disabilities in their
home communities |
