Ken
Macdonald
Case Manager
is the newest (yet oldest!) member of the East Novability Society
for Persons
with Disabilities team. Ken covers
Antigonish and Guysborough
Counties for East Novability, and provides regular
outreach services in Antigonish, Guysborough, Canso, and Sherbrooke. As well, Ken shares client
caseload with Darrell
in Port Hawkesbury. He works with clients to identify
their long-term, realistic employment goals and the
necessary steps needed to achieve them.
Ken was born
and raised in Sydney,
Nova Scotia and has seen his varied career path
take him to New Brunswick,
the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Ken has a Bachelor of Arts and a
graduate diploma in Adult Education from St. F. X. U.,
and a Certificate in Public
Administration from Cape
Breton
University.
He has also completed certificate and diploma level
studies in Community Economic Development.
Before
joining East Novability in April, 2008, Ken has worked
as a researcher on programs and services available to
welcome newcomers to Cape
Breton
and Victoria counties
for the Cape Breton County Economic Development
Authority, and served as Manager of Employment and
Entrepreneurial Services for the Cape Breton University
Students’ Union.
Ken is excited to be a part of this dynamic team, and to
be contributing to its important work |
